Attend the Festival
The Festival wouldn't be anything without an audience, so bring your friends to come support your favorite writers, your peers, and your neighbors!
Help Plan the FestivalIf you are a Miami Student, join Students for the Promotion of Writing to help plan and organize the Festival! We meet on Wednesdays at 8pm in Bachelor Hall. If you have questions or want more information, feel free to contact us. If you're not a student, feel free to contact us anyway! We'd love to have your input and assistance in planning the festival.

“The quality that writers need to cultivate absolute most, above everything else, is patience. Not only for publishing, but for writing.” -Gail Carson Levine at the first annual Oxford Writing Festival |
Sponsor a Writer
The Oxford Writing Festival has invited successful authors to speak and conduct workshops, including many that are not local and require an expense to attend. If your business or organization would like to sponsor a writer, or if you would like to make a donation to the Oxford Writing Festival, please fill out our contact form.
“If you find yourself asking yourself (and your friends) ‘Am I really a writer? Am I really an artist?’ Chances are you are. The counterfeit innovator is wildly self-confident. The real one is scared to death.” -Steven Pressfield, The War of Art |
Submit Your WritingSubmit your writing in one of our two categories to win the $100 prize to be presented at the festival. Academic and creative writing will be judged separately. Deadline for OWF 2019 is March 16. See our submissions page for more info!
